Town of Barbat is located on the southwestern side of the island Rab. It is surrounded by fields suitable for olives, grapes and all kinds of fruit and vegetables.

That is why the population of Barbat produces its own honey, olive oil, wine, cheese and catch their own fish. All of these products can be found on tables served for many guests who visit Barbat throughout the year.

Barbat is also known for its many sand beaches on the coast of the Barbat channel and near the small island of Dolin, which gives you a unique representation of the Croatian Adriatic. It is also well known among the surfers and yachtsmen, who visit the town regulary for years.

There are also many historical and cultural sights near Barbat. Old Romanic churches and antique Greek forts and remains are only a small part of town’s rich history and tradition.
